I’m making an afghan for my mother-in-law from the book, Birthstone Afghans. The one from the month of April which is titled “Diamond” is the one I’m making in green with variegated white and green panels as well.
I always thought that the main stitch was a spider web but they can call it “diamonds” or whatever they like as it’s turning out beautifully.
I’ve made at least 6 of the afghans from this particular book and each one has been gorgeous and fairly easy to make. I’d say intermediate would be the most you’d have to know and easy for several of the others. When I get it finished I’ll post a picture and you can let me know how you think it turned out as I never follow the exact color instructions given. LOL
